Reaching Out to Our Community

What is Street Outreach?

The Power Outreach Workers approach youth at various locations where teens tend to gather.  Outreach occurs at malls, the Transit Center, recreation centers, schools, in-patient treatment facilities and various community events.  Through increased efforts to better educate and inform teens it empowers them to make healthy choices and access various community agencies designed to assist them.  Peer outreach workers act as a walking referral, informing their peers about the various agencies and resources available to them.
